Storytelling from the heart

Before Adrianna was a Death Doula she was a theatre artist. Due to her skin disorder and life path she has left the stage wings for hospice wings but doulaing is also akin to dramaturgy and storytelling, and she finds helping tell stories onstage is complementary to hearing and advocating the stories of peoples lives at their deathbed and beyond very similar. Both take tremendous heart, empathy, connection, and reflexivity.

Adrianna is an alumnus of the joint Specialist Theatre and Drama Studies program at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto at Mississauga; of which she was recipient of the A.L. Fernie Bursary Award for Outstanding Performance and Production Achievement. An award nominated and winning actress, Adrianna is a storyteller on stage and screen.

For her Bachelor’s of Social Work placement she assisted an intimate partner violence (IPV) survivor by helping adapt abuse survivor accounts into a two-act stage drama called She with Sarah Skagen. It is currently in workshop to become a musical.
